The Sikh from Templeglantine

A really wonderful commemoration and plaque unveiling of Max Arthur (Michael) MacAuliffe (1841-1913), a local man who translated Sikh scripture into English in Templeglantine

It was very much an ecumenical and yet very local parish/community event with children and teachers from the local school, Fr Denis and parishioners, members of the Sikh Community in Limerick, Kerry and Clare, The Indian Ambassador to Ireland, The Anglican Bishop and some clergy and a range of civic, business and Voluntary leaders.  The event was organised and coordinated by Limerick City and County Council.
